Couture for a Cause is an organization started by Esther Silber and Michal Weinstein in order to raise money for various Jewish charities local and abroad.
At Couture for a Cause's first annual fashion event in 2007, an event that was put together in less than 3 weeks, they raised over $20,000 for Shlomzion. The following year in 2008, they raised over $30,000 for Shlomzion at their second annual fashion event that featured Kara Janx from Project Runway. In 2009 Couture for a Cause joined forces with Toby and Uri Jacobs to throw a Purim masquerade party that raised
money for Project Eliezer. Couture for a Cause's motto is to help fight poverty...but with a lot of style. By putting together fun, exciting, social events with flair that doubles as a vehicle for helping those less fortunate, Couture for a Cause is able to successfully make a difference in peoples lives. |
